SYDNEY, May 15 (Xinhua) -- A pedestrian has died after being allegedly hit by a car driven by a teenager in Sydney's south, a police report said on Wednesday.
The police of Australia's State of New South Wales said the emergency services were called at about 10:40 p.m. local time on Tuesday following reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a Ford Falcon at an intersection in Bexley.
The 38-year-old man died at the scene and was yet to be formally identified.
The Ford driver, a 17-year-old boy, sustained minor injuries and was the only person in the car.
He was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment and to undergo mandatory testing.
