PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Police discovered arms and ammunition in north Afghanistan's Baghlan province on Saturday, said a statement of the provincial information office.
The confiscated arms and ammunition were discovered during a series of operations in parts of Baghlan province, the statement added.
According to the statement, the illegal weapons included five pieces of PK machine, two rocket launchers, three Kalashnikovs, two hand grenades and thousands of bullets and projectiles.
The ministry did not say if anyone had been arrested in the case.
In similar operations, the security forces discovered ammunition, including three Kalashnikovs and 16 hand grenades in the Bolan area of Lashkar Gah city, the provincial capital of the southern Helmand province on Friday. Enditem
