ULAN BATOR, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's annual college entrance exam commenced nationwide on Thursday.
A total of 35,939 examinees are expected to participate in the four-day exam at 46 examination centers across the country, which has a population of 3.5 million, as reported the country's Ministry of Education and Science.
Students have the option to choose from 10 subjects: history, English, chemistry, geography, sociology, biology, mathematics, physics, Russian language, and Mongolian language. They must select at least two subjects for the exam.
The exam requires a minimum threshold score of 400 and offers a maximum score of 800.
Currently, Mongolia has 64 universities, out of which 16 are state-owned, according to the ministry. Enditem
