ULAN BATOR, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Following his re-election, Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrai Oyun-Erdene called upon the country's newly elected legislators on Friday to avoid politicizing issues crucial for national development.

Oyun-Erdene was re-elected for another term as the Asian country's prime minister on Friday, with his ruling Mongolian People's Party (MPP) securing a narrow majority in the regular elections of the parliament, known as the State Great Khural, held on June 28.

In an address, Oyun-Erdene emphasized the urgency of fully funding several ongoing projects from the past four years, urging legislators to collaborate across party lines for the nation's advancement.

He also advocated for policy reforms, particularly in coal and natural resource exports, given that mining products currently constitute 93 percent of Mongolia's exports.

Oyun-Erdene is expected to form his new government within the coming week. Enditem
