JAKARTA -- Indonesia's Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway (HSR), locally called Whoosh, recorded on Saturday that it had carried 4 million passengers since it began commercial operations on Oct. 17, 2023.

BANGKOK -- The Thailand-Laos cross-border passenger train service began its trial operation on Friday, enhancing rail connectivity between Thailand and Laos while linking up with the China-Laos railway.

HANOI -- At least 11 people on board a minibus died after being buried by a landslide in Vietnam's northern province of Ha Giang early Saturday morning while four others were critically injured, according to the latest update by Vietnam News Agency.

When the vehicle was trapped by a landslide on a road in Bac Me district, all the people on board got out for help. The minibus was reportedly carrying around 16 people. (Vietnam-Landslide)

JAKARTA -- The search and rescue operation for victims of the landslides and flash floods in the mining areas of Bone Bolango regency in Indonesia's Gorontalo province concluded on Saturday, a senior rescuer said.
