ISLAMABAD, July 15 (Xinhua) -- A fatal road crash occurred in Pakistan's southern Sindh province on Monday, leaving at least seven people killed and four others injured, police said.

The incident happened when a small passenger van collided with a trailer in Jamshoro district of the province, police officials in the area told Xinhua.

Police said that the passenger van was on its way from Hyderabad to Karachi when the accident happened, adding that the crash occurred due to over-speeding.

All the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital where three of them are said to be in critical condition.

Road accidents frequently happen in Pakistan, mainly due to poorly maintained vehicles, dilapidated roads and negligence of road safety measures. Enditem
