TUNIS -- Tunisian President Kais Saied announced on Friday that he intends to run for another term in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for Oct. 6.

"I officially announce my candidacy for the presidential elections to continue the struggle in the national liberation battle," Saied said in a short speech posted on the presidency's Facebook page. (Tunisia-President-Elections)

JERUSALEM -- An Israeli military spokesman said Friday that an initial investigation revealed that the aircraft that struck Tel Aviv early in the day was an Iranian-made drone launched from Yemen.

Israel Defense Forces' spokesman Daniel Hagari told a press conference at a military base in Tel Aviv that the investigators believe a Samad-3 drone was used for the attack. The drone underwent an upgrade to increase its range, he said, adding, "We believe it was launched from Yemen." (Israel-Houthis-Attack)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group on Friday claimed responsibility for launching a drone and missile attack against a ship in the Gulf of Aden.

"The Lobivia ship was hit accurately by several missiles and drones," Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said in a televised statement aired by the group's al-Masirah TV. (Houthis-Ship-Attacks)

GAZA -- At least 13 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others wounded in an Israeli bombing on two houses in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, said Palestinian sources on Friday.

The Israeli bombing destroyed the two homes and caused significant damage to the surrounding homes, eyewitnesses reported. (Israel-Gaza-Conflict) Enditem
