BOGOTA -- A drone attack on a soccer field in southwest Colombia's Cauca department killed 10 people, including a minor, Tuesday night, military officials said Wednesday.

The attack was carried out by dissidents of the defunct Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia rebel group, in the El Plateado district of the city of Argelia, according to the head of the Army Specific Command in Cauca, Gen. Federico Mejia. (Colombia-Drone Attack)

RAMALLAH -- Palestine on Wednesday urged the U.S. administration and Congress to pressure Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, reported the Palestinian official news agency WAFA.

Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said in a statement it is high time for the U.S. administration and Congress to tell Netanyahu that "he must immediately stop the war if there is a genuine American will to achieve peace and stability in the region." (Palestine-Israel-US)

ISTANBUL -- Two people were killed, and seven others were injured on Wednesday when an assailant targeted those around them in Türkiye's eastern Bingol province, local officials announced.

NOUAKCHOTT -- At least 15 people were killed after a boat carrying 300 passengers capsized Monday near Nouakchott, Mauritania's capital, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) confirmed Wednesday.
