PARIS, July 26 (Xinhua) -- British track cyclist Emma Finucane is looking to add Olympic glory to European success as the 21-year-old aims for three medals at the Paris Games.

The Welsh born cyclist shot into the spotlight last year when she won gold in the European and World Championship in individual sprint.

Now in Paris she will compete in the Kerin, Team Sprint and Individual Sprint events with options of a medal in all three.

"I'm planning to do all three events. I don't want to shy away from that, I do want to go there and win three Olympic gold medals, and that's something I've dreamed of since I was a little girl," she said in an interview with Eurosport.

"Winning three gold medals, I would have no words if that happened," she added, who mixes ambition with a desire to "enjoy" the Olympic journey.

"I don't want to just be a part of the field, I want to be up there pushing my limits, pushing my boundaries, seeing what I can do on my bike (…) as long as the preparation is right, the journey, I've enjoyed it and I've had fun. I go out there on my bike and I show the world what I can do as I dance around that track.

"Success for me would look like that but also if not, enjoying the journey and being an Olympian is success in itself for me," she concluded. Enditem
