RAMALLAH -- The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization added an archaeological site in the Gaza Strip to its list of World Heritage in Danger, the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism said on Friday.

Palestine succeeded in the emergency registration of the Monastery of Saint Hilarion in Gaza on the list of World Heritage in Danger during the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee held in India, the ministry said in a statement. (Gaza-UNESCO)

CAIRO -- Delegations from Egypt, the United States, Qatar, and Israel will meet Sunday in Italy's capital Rome to continue the Gaza truce talks, Egypt's Al-Qahera News TV channel reported on Friday.

AMMAN -- King Abdullah II of Jordan and U.S. President Joe Biden on Friday discussed efforts to achieve an immediate and enduring ceasefire in Gaza and address the humanitarian crisis in the region.

During the phone call, King Abdullah underlined the need to end the war on Gaza immediately and ensure the flow of sufficient aid through all crossings, while guaranteeing its delivery to civilians across the Strip without delay or hindrance, according to a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court. BAGHDAD -- Four rockets attacked the Ayn al-Asad Airbase in Iraq's western Anbar province, where U.S. troops are stationed, an Iraqi army officer said on Friday.

The attack occurred late Thursday night when an unknown armed group fired the rockets, two of which landed inside the airbase and the other two landed outside without causing casualties, Saad al-Obaidi from Anbar Operations Command told Xinhua. (Iraq-Airbase-Attack) Enditem
