MANILA -- At least 12 people were injured after a passenger van collided with a commuter train in Albay province, southeast of Manila, on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Police said the crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. local time when the van crossed railroad track in Daraga town. (Philippines-Road Crash)

ISLAMABAD -- At least three people were killed and 16 others injured on Saturday after a bus overturned near Loralai district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, a rescue service reported.

According to the Edhi rescue service, the accident took place early morning on the road due to overspeeding when the passenger bus was going through a mountainous area, resulting in the death of a woman on the spot. (Pakistan-Road Accident)

JOHANNESBURG -- A total of seven people were shot dead and several others were injured Saturday morning at a tavern near Orkney outside Klerksdorp, North West Province, according to South African police.

The suspects reportedly arrived at the tavern looking for Basotho (Lesotho nationals), then opened fire indiscriminately, instantly killing seven people, including one woman and six men, police said in a statement on Saturday. (South Africa-Shooting-North West)

GAZA -- At least 30 Palestinians were killed and more than 100 others injured by Israeli bombing on a field hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, the Gaza-based health authorities said on Saturday.

The hospital was located inside the Khadija School, and the Israeli army bombed the hospital with three missiles from fighter jets, the Hamas-run media office said on Saturday, noting that Israeli attacks have put enormous pressure on medical teams and caused a shortage of health and medical supplies in Gaza.
