PARIS, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Lithuania took down Poland and Serbia host France in the play-in round to advance to semifinals, while China packed up to leave the tournament with a record of one win and six losses in Suday's 3X3 basketball at the Paris Olympic Games.

In the night's finale at Place de la Concorde, Timothe Vergiat of France nailed down a two-pointer with seven seconds left on the clock to bash world No.1 Serbia 22-19 to set the court to mania.

Jules Rambaut took France's team-high with eight points and Vergiat added six. For Serbia, Strahinja Stojacic scored eight points, and Mihailo Vasic added four with by four-to-six one-pointer attempts.

In another game in the play-in round, Evaldas Dziaugys and Sarunas Vingelis shared the game-high nine points to help third seed Lithuania cruise past eighth seed Poland 21-15.

For Poland, Michal Sokolowski dominated in the paint to score a team-high eight points, and Przemyslaw Zamojski added five despite a struggling one from ten attempts behind the arc.

The Chinese side of Zhao Jiaren, Lu Wenbo, Zhu Yuanbo and Zhang Ning averaged 15.3 points in seven pool round games, but only snatched one victory over Serbia. After losing to host France 21-12 on Sunday, China was eliminated from the tournament.

The men's semifinals and final will be played on August 5 with Lativa taking on France, and the Netherlands facing off against Lithuania. Enditem
