NEW DELHI, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's resigned prime minister Sheikh Hasina reportedly landed at an airbase near New Delhi by a special military flight on Monday, after fleeing her country following violent protests.

"The aircraft carrying Sheikh Hasina landed at the Hindon airbase," claimed a TV report by the news channel "Aaj Tak". The Hindon airbase is situated in Ghaziabad, a city adjacent to New Delhi.

According to Indian media reports, Hasina was accompanied by her sister Sheikh Rehana and may fly to London later on.

According to Bangladesh's army chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, an interim government will be set up to run Bangladesh after Hasina's resignation amid protests in the South Asian country. Enditem
