MOSCOW -- At least 15 people were injured by the debris from a Ukrainian missile that fell onto a residential building in Russia's Kursk region, Acting Governor of Kursk region Alexei Smirnov said on Telegram Sunday.

"Due to the fall of missile debris on an apartment building in the regional center, 15 people were injured, all of whom are receiving necessary medical care," Smirnov said. (Russia-Ukraine-Kursk)

GAZA -- Hamas on Sunday called on mediators of the Gaza ceasefire to put forward a plan to implement what they had approved before instead of going to more rounds of negotiations or introducing new proposals.

Since the beginning of the Gaza conflict, Hamas has been keen to make the efforts of the mediators in Egypt and Qatar successful to reach a ceasefire agreement and end the war against Gaza people, and it has confirmed its support for any effort to achieve a halt to the war, the movement said in a statement. ATHENS -- Thick plumes of smoke covered a large part of Athens on Sunday as two major wildfires broke out near the Greek capital, forcing the evacuation of two communities. But no injuries have been reported yet, according to local authorities.

In Varnavas, located in the northeastern Attica region, near Marathon - the birthplace of the Marathon race, 165 firefighters were battling the flames. They are supported by 12 water-dropping airplanes and helicopters. (Greece-Wildfire)

KABUL -- One person was confirmed dead and 11 others sustained injuries as an explosion rocked Dasht-e-Barchi area on the western edge of the Afghan capital Kabul on Sunday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.

"A sticky mine ripped through a mini-bus in Dasht-e-Barchi area. According to preliminary information, one person lost his life and 11 others were injured," Zadran confirmed on his X account hours after the incident. (Afghanistan-Blast) Enditem
