COLOMBO, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Sri Lanka's Western province on Thursday, the police said.
The accident occurred along the road from Divulapitiya to Negombo when a speeding three-wheeler lost control and collided with a tipper truck, the police added.
All the people traveling in the three-wheeler, aged between 30 and 45, died. Further investigations are underway.
There are over a million three-wheelers in the South Asian country, and they are often involved in motor accidents, according to official data. Enditem
