GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- At least one commuter was confirmed dead and seven others were injured after two passenger vehicles collided in east Afghanistan's Ghazni province, said a statement of the provincial police office on Saturday.
The road accident took place Friday night in the province's Qara Bagh district when a passenger car rammed into a Fielder car, killing one person on the spot and injuring seven others, the statement added.
Reckless driving on congested roads and lack of safety measures during travel on dilapidated highways often cause deadly road accidents in Afghanistan. Enditem
