LONDON -- A large blaze that ripped through the roof of central London's historic Somerset House, which houses a large collection of priceless artwork, has been put under control, according to the London Fire Brigade (LFB).

VIENNA -- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warned on Saturday that the nuclear safety situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) was "deteriorating" after a drone strike nearby.

The IAEA experts stationed at the ZNPP immediately visited the impact site "close to the essential cooling water sprinkler ponds and about 100 meters from the Dniprovska power line of the ZNPP", after being informed of the drone attack on Saturday that "hit the road around the plant site perimeter", the agency said in a statement. CAIRO -- Negotiations on a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip will resume on Wednesday in Cairo, Egyptian sources told Xinhua on Saturday.

The delegations of the three mediators -- Egypt, Qatar, and the United States -- and Israel's delegation will attend the talks scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, according to the sources, who required anonymity. (Egypt-Gaza-Talks)

GHAZNI, Afghanistan -- At least one commuter was confirmed dead and seven others were injured after two passenger vehicles collided in east Afghanistan's Ghazni province, said a statement of the provincial police office on Saturday.

The road accident took place Friday night in the province's Qara Bagh district when a passenger car rammed into a Fielder car, killing one person on the spot and injuring seven others, the statement added. (Afghanistan-Road Accident) Enditem
