JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Six people lost their lives and four others were injured following a landmine blast in east Afghanistan's Nangarhar province on Thursday afternoon, local police said.
The incident occurred in the Dara-i-Nur District when a landmine exploded in a car carrying teachers and students from a religious school in Nuristan province, Abdul Basir Zabuli, spokesman for the provincial police department, told Xinhua.
Among the deaths were four children and two teachers, Zabuli said. Enditem
