RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Teenage forward Estevao Willian scored twice as Palmeiras cruised to a 5-0 home win over Cuiaba in Brazil's Serie A championship on Saturday.
The 17-year-old converted a penalty just before the half hour and was again on target five minutes later as he combined with Richard Rios to fire a low shot into the far corner.
Murilo Cerqueira, Mauricio and Felipe Anderson were also on the scoresheet as Palmeiras secured their 13th win of the campaign.
The reigning Brazilian top flight champions are third in the 20-team Serie A standings with 44 points, two points behind leaders Botafogo, who have a game in hand. Cuiaba are 19th, with just four wins from 22 matches.
"I'm living a dream," said Estevao, who was called up to Brazil's national squad for the first time on Friday.
"I was a bit emotional tonight because the national call-up lifts your self esteem and give you an extra boost."
In other Brazilian Serie A fixtures on Saturday, Fluminense won 2-0 at Atletico Mineiro and Goianiense prevailed 2-1 at home to Juventude. Enditem
