CAIRO -- At least nine people were killed and seven others wounded in a multi-vehicle crash in Fayoum province, south of the Egyptian capital Cairo, the provincial authorities said in a statement on Monday.
Civil protection forces rushed to the scene to evacuate the bodies, and ambulances transferred the wounded to Fayoum Public Hospital, the statement said. (Egypt-Road Accident)

HELSINKI -- The collapse of an ice cave Sunday in southeast Iceland's Vatnajokull National Park has left one tourist dead and two others missing, local media reported.
The ice wall collapsed when a tour group of 25 people visited the cave. Four individuals remained behind and were buried by the ice. Rescuers were able to recover two of them, one of whom was deceased. The other rescued person is in stable condition in hospital, according to Icelandic radio RUV. (Iceland-Ice Cave-Collapse)

OUAGADOUGOU -- Several people, mostly civilians, were killed in an attack Saturday in north-central Burkina Faso, local media reported.

ISLAMABAD -- A bomb went off in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, leaving at least four people killed and ten others injured, rescue and police officials said.
According to the police in the area, the blast occurred when explosives planted on a motorcycle exploded in a market in Razmak area of North Waziristan district of the province, killing four people on the spot. (Pakistan-Blast-Death) Enditem
