MANILA, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers have found three bodies from the two boats that sank off the coast of Romblon province in the central Philippines on Monday morning, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Thursday.

The two boats departed Boracay Island, a world-famous beach resort in Malay town in Aklan province, around 4 a.m. Monday. Three hours into the journey, the boats sank off San Jose, an island town in Romblon.

One of the boats carried 14 people, while the other had six.

The PCG said that 10 people have been rescued while the search for the remaining seven missing continues.

The group, all residents of Caluya, an island town in Antique province, spent the weekend on Boracay Island. They were heading west to their hometown when the accident occurred. Enditem
