MOSCOW, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and another seven were injured after Ukrainian attacks in Russia's Belgorod region, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Friday.
"Our air defense system worked over Belgorod and Belgorodsky District -- several air targets were shot down as they approached the city," Gladkov said on Telegram.
The attacks hit an apartment building, several commercial buildings and a passenger car in the city of Belgorod, Gladkov noted, adding that two private houses in the village of Dubovoye in the Belgorodsky District caught fire as a result of the attacks.
Firefighters have started to extinguish the fire and relevant information is being updated, he said. Enditem
