LJUBLJANA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Slovenia and Türkiye on Friday signed an action plan on strategic cooperation for the next three years based on the strategic partnership between the countries that was established in 2011.
At a joint news conference with her Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon highlighted cooperation between the two countries is increasing particularly in such areas as economy, culture and education.
She also said that Slovenia supports an upgrade of the customs union and the visa liberalization between the European Union (EU) and Turkey, urging the EU to speed up the enlargement process.
Meanwhile, the two foreign ministers called for peace in Gaza. The Netanyahu government is playing with fire, and it is endangering the whole region and its own country, Fidan was quoted by the Slovenian national news agency STA as saying. Enditem
