ULAN BATOR, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia officially commenced the 2024-2025 academic year on Monday, with educational institutions across the country reopening their doors for students at all levels.
In his address to mark the start of the academic year, Minister of Education and Science Purevsuren Naranbayar outlined several key priorities for the coming year.
Naranbayar pledged to focus on enhancing teacher support, which includes increasing salaries for educational staff. He also emphasized efforts to improve the overall quality and environment of education.
Additionally, he highlighted plans to optimize the curriculum and reduce the workload for both teachers and students, aiming to create a more balanced and effective learning experience.
For the 2024-2025 school year, there are 1,294,800 students enrolled in 2,451 educational institutions across the country, which has a population of 3.5 million people, according to the Ministry of Education and Science. Enditem
