MADRID, Sept, 6 (Xinhua) -- Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente will be without Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal for Sunday's UEFA Nations League tie away to Switzerland, after the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed he suffered a "high grade" twist in his left ankle in Thursday's 0-0 draw away to Serbia.

Oyarzabal came into game as a late substitute and suffered the injury in the last action of the game, with his club mate Martin Zubimendi commented to the press that it "doesn't look good."

After having tests back in Spain on Friday morning, the extent of the injury was confirmed and Oyarzabal abandoned the RFEF headquarters on crutches to return to San Sebastian, where his club also have an injury crisis.

The Basque club lost defenders Haimar Zubeldia and Hamari Traore in their recent 0-0 draw at Getafe, with Traore suffering a knee injury that will keep him out for the season.

Midfielder Brais Mendez was injured in the same game, while winger Ander Barrenetxea has struggled with his fitness all season, and the club was also weakened by the sale of Mikel Merino and Robin le Normand to Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, respectively, over the summer. Enditem
