TOKYO, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) - Six people were injured after a traffic accident involving six vehicles occurred Monday on an expressway in the central Japanese prefecture of Shiga Prefecture, according to local authorities.
At around 4:42 p.m. local time, authorities received an emergency call reporting that a truck has crashed into vehicles near the Shigaraki Interchange on the Shin-Meishin Expressway in the city of Koka.
The crash involved a truck equipped with a crane and five other vehicles, according to police.
Details about the extent of the injuries have not yet been released, with the cause of the accident still under investigation.
