Israel's Hapoel Beer Sheva sign ex-NBA player Ray Spalding

JERUSALEM, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Super League basketball club Hapoel Beer Sheva on Tuesday announced the signing of former NBA player Ray Spalding.

The 27-year-old American center played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals and was selected as the 56th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Between 2018 and 2021, he played 16 NBA games, primarily with the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets, averaging 3.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

His career also includes time with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League and Osos de Manati of Puerto Rico's top division, the BSN.

On Monday, in their first game of the season, Beer Sheva lost 85-66 away to Elitzur Kiryat Ata in the Israeli League Cup. Enditem
