YANGON, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar organized a robot competition in Yangon on Sunday, attracting over 50 participants from 15 teams across the country.

The event, featuring two main categories: Robo Mission and Future Innovators, aimed to provide Myanmar's students with a platform to showcase their robotics skills and compete internationally, Eddi, organizer of the event told Xinhua on Sunday.

Two teams from the Robo Mission category and one team from the Future Innovators category will be selected to represent Myanmar at the World Robot Olympiad 2024 International Final in Turkey this November, he said.

The competition was not just a local milestone but a gateway to global recognition. The participants, aged eight to 19, had the opportunity to enhance their presentation skills by preparing projects on diverse topics, which fostered creativity, he said.

The champions will be able to display their skills on the international stage, where they can learn from students from other countries, engage in knowledge sharing and experience teamwork at a global level, he added. Enditem
