YANGON -- Widespread flooding in Myanmar has left 113 people dead and 64 missing, according to the Information Team of Myanmar's State Administration Council on Sunday.

The flood has impacted Nay Pyi Taw, Kayah state, Kayin state, Bago region, Magway region, Mandalay region, Mon state, Shan state, and Ayeyarwady region, it said. (Myanmar-Flooding)

COLOMBO -- The financial problems faced by the Maldives are temporary and there is no need to seek assistance from the International Monetary Fund, PSM, the country's state media, said on Saturday quoting the Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer.

Zameer is currently in Sri Lanka to engage with its banks and officials as part of a broader diplomatic and economic outreach, PSM reported. (Maldives-Finance-Reserves)

MANILA -- Tropical storm Bebinca left the Philippines with six dead and at least two missing, the Philippine government said Sunday.
