JERUSALEM -- Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Monday told his American counterpart that time was running out for a diplomatic solution to prevent a full-scale war with Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In a telephone call, Gallant told U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin that "the possibility for an agreed framework is running out," according to a statement released by his office. (Israel-Lebanon-Border-Conflict)

TEHRAN -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asserted on Monday that his country has no intention of developing nuclear weapons, pushing back against international concerns over its uranium enrichment program.

"We have repeatedly emphasized that we do not seek nuclear weapons," Pezeshkian said at a press conference in Tehran. "Our goal is to meet our technical and scientific needs." (Iran-Nuclear-Talks)

GAZA -- At least 15 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on the central and southern Gaza Strip on Monday, according to Palestinian sources.

Palestinian security sources told Xinhua that Israeli aircraft targeted a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing at least 10. (Gaza-Hamas-Israel-Conflict)

KHARTOUM -- Sudan's Ministry of Health said on Monday that 9,533 cases of cholera, including 315 deaths, had been recorded in the country.
