TUNIS, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Abdelhafidh and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih on Tuesday discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
During a video conference, which also saw the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, Abdelhafidh reviewed the overall bilateral partnership and the two countries' economic cooperation, particularly in investment and finance, said a statement by the Tunisian ministry.
Abdelhafidh voiced the Tunisian government's willingness to create all favorable conditions to strengthen Saudi investment in Tunisia, said the statement.
He also invited Al-Falih to visit Tunisia and get to know closely the real opportunities available for profitable investment and fruitful partnership, the statement said.
For his part, Al-Falih expressed Saudi Arabia's interest in investing in Tunisia in various sectors, including tourism, maritime transport, industry, and renewable energy, especially green hydrogen, according to the statement. Enditem
