SANAA -- Yemen's Houthis said on Friday in a statement that they had fired "a ballistic missile and a drone" deep into Israel.

"In support of Palestine and Lebanon, we carried out a military operation against an Israeli target in the Jaffa area, Tel Aviv, using a ballistic missile, and launched a drone attack on another vital Israeli target in the coastal Israeli city of Ashkelon," the statement, aired by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, quoted Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea as saying. BEIRUT -- At least two people were killed and 76 injured on Friday in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut, the group's Al-Manar TV reported.

Lebanon's al-Jadeed TV said about 10 successive airstrikes hit Hezbollah's headquarters in Dahieh, a southern suburb of Beirut. TV footage showed smoke rising from the site. (Israel-Beirut-Strike)

TUNIS -- Tunisia's Parliament approved a draft law on Friday modifying the country's electoral process, just days before the presidential election scheduled for Oct. 6.

The new legislation, which amends the 2014 electoral law, shifts the responsibility for overseeing the electoral process from the Administrative Court to the Court of Appeal. The change affects the monitoring of elections and handling of disputes and appeals related to the process. (Tunisia-Electoral Law-Revise)

ALGIERS -- The Algerian Health Ministry announced on Friday that it is dispatching medical teams and supplies to deal with the increasing cases of diphtheria and malaria in the southern regions.
