MIES, Switzerland, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) reminded the basketball world on Saturday that the new official basketball rules 2024 will come into force on October 1 and are available for download.

The main changes include the rules regarding throw-ins, correctable errors, the instant replay system & HCC (challenge request), as well as fouls and fakes.

FIBA provides the Official Basketball Rules, Official Basketball Rules & Equipment, and Official Basketball Rules Interpretations in English, and Summary of the Rule Changes in English, French and Spanish, all available for free download on its official website.

The FIBA's Rules Advisory Group studies all proposals for rule changes before submitting them to the FIBA Technical Commission for final review. It is the FIBA Central Board that approves any changes to the FIBA Official Basketball Rules. Enditem
