ADEN, Yemen/JERUSALEM -- At least four people were killed and 49 others wounded on Sunday in Israeli airstrikes on Yemen's Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported, citing health sources.

The al-Masirah TV described the attacks as "Israeli aggression," detailing that the port in the Ras Issa area and power stations in the districts of Al-Hali and Al-Katheeb were attacked. (Yemen-Israeli Airstrikes-Casualties)

BEIRUT -- Hezbollah confirmed on Sunday that the group's senior leader Ali Karaki, head of the southern front, was killed, along with top leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in the Israeli airstrikes targeting Beirut's southern suburbs on Friday.

DAMASCUS -- At least 17 people, including four Syrian fighters affiliated with Iran-backed militias, were killed in a series of unidentified airstrikes on Syria's eastern province of Deir al-Zour and surrounding areas on Sunday, a war monitor reported.

The strikes targeted positions held by Iranian and Iraqi militias, including a radar site and a headquarters on a hill near the namesake provincial capital of Deir al-Zour, as well as a military base and two warehouses in the al-Bukamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour near the Iraqi border, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitor. TEHRAN -- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Sunday confirmed the death of one of its senior commanders, Abbas Nilforoushan, in Israel's recent attacks on Lebanon's capital Beirut.

In a statement carried by its official news outlet Sepah News, the IRGC said Nilforoushan, who was serving as a "military adviser in Lebanon, attained martyrdom in terrorist attacks" on Friday on Dahieh, the southern suburbs of Beirut, during which Hezbollah's top leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, was also killed.
