BEIRUT -- Over the past 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon have killed 55 people and injured 156 others, said the Lebanese Health Ministry.
According to the ministry, 11 of the fatalities were reported in the Baalbek-Hermel district, 22 in the Nabatieh Governorate, three in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, respectively, and 16 in the South Governorate. (Lebanon-Israeli Airstrikes-Death Toll)

JERUSALEM -- Israel's military on Tuesday vowed to "carry out attacks throughout the Middle East tonight" to retaliate against the Iranian attacks.
The military said around 200 missiles were fired by Iran at Israel in the evening, adding the attacks' impact was still under review. TUNIS -- The death toll from the sinking of a boat carrying undocumented immigrants off the coast of Djerba Island in southeastern Tunisia has risen to 16, the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) reported on Tuesday.
The Tunisian coastguard, civil protection, and navy have retrieved 16 bodies of undocumented immigrants from Monday to Tuesday, according to the TAP. (Tunisia-Boat Sinking-Undocumented Immigrants)

SANAA -- The Houthi group in Yemen said in a statement on Tuesday that it had launched multiple attacks targeting two ships traveling off the Yemeni coast.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said the first operation targeted the British oil ship Cordelia Moon in the Red Sea, using eight ballistic and winged missiles, a drone, and an unmanned boat. He added that the operation "severely damaged" the ship, according to Houthi-run al-Masirah TV.
"The second operation targeted the ship Marathopolis in the Indian Ocean with a cruise missile, and the third operation targeted the same ship again in the Arabian Sea," he said. (Yemen-Houthi Attacks-Ships) Enditem
