MADRID, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Spain national team coach Luis de la Fuente has brought defenders Pau Cubarsi and Pedro Porro back into his squad for the forthcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark and Serbia.
Forwards Alvaro Morata and Alex Baena, along with midfielder Mikel Merino also return to De la Fuente's squad after injury.
The squad has been conditioned by injuries to goalkeeper Unai Simon, Atletico Madrid defender Robin Le Normand, Manchester City midfielder Rodri and Dani Olmo who are all fixtures in De la Fuente's starting 11, while right back Dani Carvajal is suspended for the game against Denmark on October 12.
Cubarsi was included in squad at the end of last season, but was left out of the squad for the European Championship, going instead to the Paris Olympic Games, where he formed part of gold-medal-winning side.
Merino also returns after missing the first squad of the new season through injury, even though he has not played in the current campaign after joining Arsenal from Real Sociedad.
Portu's former Alaves and Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion had been tipped for a debut call-up after starting his Porto career with seven goals in six games, including two on Thursday night against Manchester United, but the 20-year-old has had to conform with a place in the Under-21s.
