KIEV, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine has harvested about 56.6 million tons of grain, oilseeds and industrial crops since this year's harvesting campaign began, the country's agriculture and food ministry said on Friday.

Farmers have gathered around 37.3 million tons of grain and legumes, including 22.3 million tons of wheat and 7.7 million tons of corn.

Sunflower seed output reached 8 million tons, while soybean yield totaled 4.3 million tons.

In its latest forecast, the Ukrainian Grain Association projected that the country's grain and oilseeds harvest will reach 71.8 million tons this year.

In 2023, Ukraine yielded 82 million tons of crops, including more than 60 million tons of grain. Enditem
