JERUSALEM -- A woman was killed and 10 others were wounded in a "terror attack" in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, police said Sunday.

The attacker, wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with a gun and a knife, opened fire at Beersheba's central bus station, authorities reported. They have launched a search for any accomplices who may have helped the assailant reach the scene.(Israel-Gunshot-Casualties,1st LD Writethru)

TUNIS -- The polling centers for the Tunisian presidential elections opened on Sunday in 24 provinces of Tunisia, Tunisia's Independent High Authority for Elections said.

Voting started at 8:00 a.m. local time (0700 GMT) and will close at 6:00 p.m. local time (1700 GMT) in 5,013 voting centers and 9,669 polling stations across the country. (Tunisia-Presidential Election)

DAMASCUS -- Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said in Damascus on Saturday that Iran supports a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, and warned Israel that it would respond proportionately to any attacks, and if necessary, with greater force.

In a press conference wrapping up his one-day visit to Syria, Araghchi reaffirmed Iran's commitment to standing by the "resistance" against Israel, noting that the country will continue its aid and coordination with Syria to support displaced Lebanese refugees. (Syria-Iran-Visit)

BEIRUT -- Two people were killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday evening targeting a residential building in Jiyeh, a seaside town located 30 kilometers south of Beirut, local TV channel MTV reported.

The airstrike hit a three-story building in the Nabi Younes neighborhood, and the explosion was heard across much of Beirut and in Sidon, the capital of Lebanon's South Governorate.
