TEHRAN -- Iran's Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) announced late Sunday the resumption of all flights to and from the country following a brief pause due to "operational limitations," the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

Given the removal of the "operational limitations," the flight restrictions have been lifted since 23:00 local time (1930 GMT), Mehr quoted CAO spokesman Jafar Yazarlou as saying. (Iran-Flights-Pause)

DAMASCUS -- Israeli airstrikes targeted military sites in the countryside of Homs and Hama provinces in central Syria on Sunday, killing five Syrian soldiers and wounding several others, a war monitor reported.

BEIRUT -- Eleven people were killed and 17 others injured Sunday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting different areas in Lebanon, according to Lebanese official and military sources.

TUNIS -- Exit polls showed that Tunisian President Kais Saied is expected to win the presidential election on Sunday, Tunisian State TV reported.
