Philippines, S. Korea ink MoU to strengthen energy cooperation

MANILA, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines and South Korea on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on energy cooperation, paving the way for collaboration to conduct a comprehensive technical and economic feasibility study on the potential rehabilitation of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).

Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol witnessed the signing of the MoU on cooperation in the field of energy between the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (KHNP).

Yoon is in Manila for a two-day state visit. Enditem
