TUNIS -- Preliminary results showed that Tunisian President Kais Saied has been re-elected for a second term, after winning 90.69 percent of the vote in Sunday's presidential election, the country's Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) said here Monday.

"According to preliminary results, Saied received 2,438,954 favorable votes," ISIE President Farouk Bouasker told a press conference. (Tunisia-Presidential Election-Results)

JERUSALEM -- Militants in Yemen fired a surface-to-surface missile at central Israel on Monday afternoon, which was intercepted by the country's air defense systems, the Israeli military said in a statement.

"The surface-to-surface missile fired from Yemen was successfully intercepted by the IAF (Israel Air Force)," the military said. (Israel-Yemen-Missile Attack)

GAZA -- At least 13 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others injured in an Israeli raid on the Abu Qamar station area in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, sources told Xinhua on Monday.

Palestinian medics said that 13 bodies were received at Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia city following an Israeli attack on a gathering of Palestinians in the Abu Qamar station area. Dozens of injured individuals were also transferred to the hospital. (Gaza-Israeli Raid-Casualties)

BEIRUT/JERUSALEM -- An Israeli infantry force entered the Lebanese border village of Maroun al-Ras on Monday and crossed the Blue Line from different directions, according to Lebanese security sources.

These sources, who spoke anonymously, told Xinhua that an estimated 50 Israeli soldiers crossed the Blue Line and advanced to Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon. (Lebanon-Israel-Ground Operation) Enditem
