PUL-E-ALAM, Afghanistan, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- A traveler lost his life and 10 others sustained injuries due to a road accident in eastern Afghanistan's Logar province on Monday evening, provincial police spokesman Ahmadullah Anas said Tuesday.

A car collided with a mini-bus coming from the opposite direction on a road outside the provincial capital Pul-e-Alam on Monday evening, leaving one dead on the spot and injuring 10 others, some in critical condition from both the vehicles, the official added.

The official blamed reckless driving for the deadly accident, noting that traffic police would check drivers' carelessness to prevent such accidents in the future.

A similar road accident claimed one life and injured five others in the eastern Laghman province a day earlier on Sunday. Enditem
