JERUSALEM, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Israel has suspended schools across the Bay Area of Haifa, effective Tuesday afternoon, in response to rocket attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The Home Front Command issued a statement outlining the new restrictions, which prohibit all educational activities until further notice.
The guidelines specifically affect the Krayot area, encompassing the cities of Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Yam, and Kiryat Motzkin, but do not include the city of Haifa itself.
This decision follows a barrage of approximately 105 rockets fired by Hezbollah forces targeting the Krayot region and other parts of northern Israel, resulting in injuries to a 71-year-old woman and damage to several buildings. Enditem
