BEIRUT, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Eleven people were killed on Tuesday in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanese villages and towns in south and eastern Lebanon, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.

According to NNA, three civil defense members were killed in an Israeli raid on the civil defense center in the southern town of Aitit.

Five people were killed in al Khodor town in eastern Lebanon where an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building.

Moreover, three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the town of Sohmor in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, according to NNA.

A report released by the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Lebanese Council of Ministers said that the total number of people killed in Lebanon since the beginning of Israeli attacks on the country reached 2,119, while 10,019 were injured. Enditem
