TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi and Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on Wednesday exchanged views on the latest regional development and bilateral ties.

In a meeting in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, the two sides stressed the need to ensure regional stability and security, according to a statement from Iran's Foreign Ministry.

The Saudi crown prince voiced grave concern over rising tensions and the expansion of conflict in the region, calling on all West Asia countries to safeguard regional stability and security.

He also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in implementing bilateral agreements over the past year, calling the improvement "positive and tangible."

Araghchi said that enhancing relations with neighboring countries to ensure security, stability, and prosperity, as well as promoting economic cooperation remains a key priority for Iran.

He urged collective efforts from all West Asian countries to immediately stop Israel's military attacks and prevent further damage to infrastructure in Gaza and Lebanon.

The two sides also vowed to continue cooperation and consultation on bilateral and regional issues.

Earlier in the day, Araghchi met with his Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss the situations in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as bilateral ties, said a separate statement from Iran's Foreign Ministry. Enditem
