Malaysia records higher palm oil stocks in September

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia, the world's second-largest palm oil producer, has reported higher palm oil stocks in September, official data showed Thursday.

According to the data revealed by the industry regulator Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Malaysia's palm oil stockpiles rose 6.93 percent from the previous month to 2.01 million tons in September.

Meanwhile, Malaysia's crude palm oil (CPO) production fell 3.8 percent month on month to 1.82 million tons.

Malaysia's palm oil exports, however, climbed 0.93 percent month on month to 1.54 million tons.

Malaysia's palm oil imports, on the other hand, plunged 45.01 percent month on month to 5,482 tons. Enditem
