Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves rise 106 mln USD

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) have increased by 106 million U.S. dollars, the central bank said Thursday.

During the week ending on Oct. 4, the total foreign exchange reserves of the bank reached around 10.8 billion dollars, it said in a statement.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came in at around 5.2 billion dollars.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at about 16 billion dollars, the statement added. Enditem
