NEW DELHI -- India on Monday decided to withdraw its ambassador (high commissioner) to Canada, after a fresh diplomatic row erupted between the two countries.

Taking a strong objection to the Canadian government's recent decision to investigate the Indian envoys' role in the killing of a man last year in Canada, the Indian government on Monday evening summoned the Canadian Charge d'Affaires. (India-Canada-Diplomats)

BEIRUT -- Eighteen people were killed, and four others wounded on Monday in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential apartment in Aitou, a village in Lebanon's North Governorate, the Lebanese Red Cross said in a post on X.

COLOMBO -- One worker died and 19 were injured on Monday morning, following the exploding of a boiler at a factory in Badalgama in western Sri Lanka.

GAZA/RAMALLAH -- At least 10 people were killed and 40 others injured by Israeli artillery shelling in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday, Palestinian sources said.
