KHOST, Afghanistan, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities opened a three-day domestic products exhibition in eastern Afghanistan's Khost province on Tuesday.
"Availing opportunity I am calling upon the people to buy and use local products instead of foreign-made goods," deputy provincial governor Mahboud Shah Qanet said in his opening remarks.
The official also assured that the administration is committed to supporting investment and providing all facilities to companies investing in Khost province and other parts of Afghanistan.
Aimed at finding markets for local products, the companies and businessmen have displayed their products in 135 stalls.
Welcoming the step, a businessman Shafi Ahmadzai said that organizing such exhibitions would inspire the businessmen and companies to invest in the war-ravaged country.
A similar exhibition opened in the northern Balkh province on last Thursday. Enditem
