India's forex reserves fall nearly 10.8 bln USD

NEW DELHI, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange reserves decreased 10.746 billion U.S. dollars to 690.430 billion dollars during the week ending on Oct. 11, according to the central bank on Friday.

This was one of the steepest falls in India's forex reserves during a week in recent years. This was also the second consecutive week that India's forex reserves had fallen. In the previous week, forex reserves had dropped 3.709 billion dollars to 701.176 billion dollars.

Forex reserves' biggest component, foreign currency assets fell 10.542 billion dollars to 602.101 billion dollars.

Gold reserves decreased 98 million dollars to 65.658 billion dollars. Enditem
